This year, the District welcomed new administrators, teachers, support staff, and classified employees—each one committed to making a positive impact on students and the Banning community.
“The first day of school is more than just a calendar date—it’s a community effort,” said Superintendent Terrence Davis. “From the early hours of the morning to the final bell, every member of our team—from transportation and nutrition services to our school site staff—is working with one goal in mind: to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and inspired from the moment they arrive. We Are Banning, and together we are creating a place where every student can thrive.”

"The morning started early for many across the District. Transportation staff completed safety checks and launched routes through the city before sunrise, while nutrition teams were busy slicing oranges and organizing hundreds of breakfast meals. Custodial and maintenance crews made last-minute touches to ensure classrooms were spotless and ready for learning. As the sun rose, campus safety officers took their places, supporting families as they gathered outside school gates—some holding little hands for the very first time, others waving goodbye to high school seniors beginning their final year. From every corner of the District, a collective effort was underway to make this first day not just smooth, but memorable.

"Once-quiet hallways quickly filled with chatter, laughter, and a few first-day jitters as students were greeted by teachers, support staff, and site administrators. Across all campuses, the shared goal was clear: to create a warm, welcoming environment that sets the tone for a successful school year.
