Gas Prices Continue to Fall in Riverside County; Banning Drivers See $4.69 Low

BANNING, CA — Gas prices continued their downward trend this week across Riverside County, with the average cost of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline falling for the eighth time in nine days.
The countywide average dipped 1.5 cents Wednesday to $4.678, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average has dropped 9 cents over the past nine days — including six-tenths of a cent on Tuesday — after a brief two-tenths-of-a-cent increase on Monday. Prices are now 5.1 cents lower than a week ago, though still 10.6 cents higher than last month and 35.4 cents above this time last year. Countywide prices remain well below the Oct. 5, 2022, record of $6.373.

For drivers in Banning, GasBuddy reported the cheapest fuel in the city Thursday at $4.69 per gallon at the Arco station at 2228 W. Ramsey Street.
Nationally, gas prices edged up for the third straight day, rising 1.7 cents on Wednesday to $3.094. The U.S. average is now 1.9 cents higher than a week ago and 5.8 cents above last month, but remains far below the June 14, 2022, record of $5.016.
