Gingerbread Village Unveiling at Miramonte Resort & Spa 6p Nov. 29

Miramonte Resort & Spa employees plan to unveil a festive Gingerbread Village to benefit the Desert Cancer Foundation at 6 p.m. Friday Nov. 29, according to a resort representative.

The village is composed of gingerbread houses submitted by Valley residents and students who purchase "lots," which ultimately gives financial support to cancer patients who cannot afford treatment.

By purchasing a "lot" homebuilders have up until November 25th to submit a house for inclusion in the village. "Lots" range from $20 to $50 with 100 percent of the sales going to Desert Cancer Foundation, a Valley organization that pays for treatment of cancer patients who lack insurance or sufficient funds to pay for their medical care.

Following the event, Miramonte's five-week Desert Holidays celebration begins, encouraging the community to embrace the season and enjoy holiday cheer throughout the Mediterranean atmosphere of the resort.
