I-10 Roadwork Prompts Lane Closures In Early December: What To Know

PALM DESERT, CA — The California Department of Transportation is alerting the public that Coachella Maintenance crews will perform a landscape and maintenance operation on Interstate 10, weather permitting.

Work will include vegetation control and litter removal, they said in a recent news release. The following planned closure locations for these operations include:

• Monday, December 8th, from 7:0 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: I-10 Eastbound center median and #1 lane closure from Tipton Road to Indian Canyon Drive for a landscape and maintenance operation.

• Friday, December 12th, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: I-10 Eastbound center median and #1 lane closure from Tipton Road to Indian Canyon Drive for a landscape and maintenance operation.

• Monday, December 15th, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: I-10 Eastbound center median and #1 lane closure from Tipton Road to Indian Canyon Drive for a landscape and maintenance operation.

Watch for signage alerting motorists of upcoming maintenance and remember to reduce your speed in and around the work zone in an effort to keep everyone safe.
