Identity Of Woman Found Dead On SoCal Mountainside Sought By Police

The woman's body was found on Nov. 18 near Highway 138 and Crestline Road, authorities said.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a woman whose body was found last week near the edge of a mountain in San Bernardino County.

According to authorities, deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to Highway 138 and Crestline Road around 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 18 after a person discovered a body near that location.

When deputies arrived, they located the woman's body about 75 feet down a steep embankment, authorities said.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department also responded and retrieved the woman from the side of the mountain before she was taken to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.

During an autopsy, officials found injuries consistent with a fall, authorities said.

According to authorities, the woman is between 45 and 60 years old. She is 5-feet-1-inch tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has bleached blonde hair, brown eyes and no tattoos. At the time of her death, authorities said she was wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue pants, and white and black New Balance shoes.
