Investigation Underway After Man Found Dead in Jurupa Valley

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — A 27-year-old man was found dead in a residential neighborhood in Jurupa Valley and a homicide investigation into his death was underway Sunday.

Deputies responded to a shooting call at 12:18 p.m. Saturday in the 5000 block of Samantha Place, where they found Aimga Magallanes, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities did not elaborate on Magallanes' cause of death.

Investigators said the suspect fled before deputies arrived and remained outstanding.
