'Step Back In Time' For The Annual Fall Celebration At San Timoteo Schoolhouse In RivCo
The 1880s-era schoolhouse was once the heart of the rural area. Come enjoy pumpkin painting, a local history scavenger hunt and more.

BEAUMONT, CA — A classic fall celebration complete with local history and a tour of an 1880s-era schoolhouse is returning to San Timoteo Canyon on Sept. 6.
The Eighth Annual San Timoteo Schoolhouse Fall Celebration invites the community to experience one of three nationally registered historic sites owned and operated by Riverside County.
The family event is free and offers a rare tour of the restored 1883 one-room schoolhouse, which is located between Redlands and Beaumont, according to the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests will enjoy guided tours, a live lesson with a schoolmarm and activities like pumpkin painting, fall crafts, a local history scavenger hunt and maypole dancing. Attendees can also enjoy free popcorn, snow cones, food trucks, a historic stagecoach, live music and a flag-raising ceremony.
