Leads Sought In Fatal Riverside County Hit-And-Run

A driver hit a pedestrian Monday evening in Moreno Valley and left the victim to die.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A man who was walking on Old 215 Frontage Road in Moreno Valley Monday evening was fatally struck by a driver who fled the scene, and the sheriff's department hopes someone has information about the incident.

The fatal crash was reported at 5:57 p.m. at the intersection of Old 215 Frontage Road and Bay Avenue. The pedestrian was walking south on Old 215 Frontage Road when a northbound motorist struck and killed him. The driver fled the scene without stopping, according to the sheriff's department.

"At this time, a suspect has not been identified," the sheriff's department reported. No information was provided about the vehicle involved in the crash.

During the crash investigation, Old 215 Frontage Road from Alessandro Boulevard to Bay Avenue was closed.
