Man Arrested For Fentanyl Sales, Weapon Violations: Sheriff's Office
Andrew Green of Hemet was booked into jail at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of fentanyl sales and multiple weapons violations.

HEMET, CA — A 24-year-old Hemet man was arrested on suspicion of fentanyl sales and multiple weapons violations, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Sunday.
Deputies from the Hemet Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Saturday in the 41000 block of Beachwood Avenue, according to the sheriff's department.
The passenger, identified as Andrew Green of Hemet, was recognized by deputies as having two felony warrants for his arrest related to narcotics sales, according to the RCSD. He was detained and allegedly found to have multiple plastic bags of fentanyl in his possession. During the traffic stop, deputies allegedly found Green was engaged in the sale of fentanyl, prompting the team to obtain a search warrant for his residence.

When deputies conducted the search warrant, they allegedly discovered several more bags containing fentanyl, along with numerous items consistent with narcotics sales.
Deputies also allegedly found 14 firearms including unregistered pistols, a short-barreled automatic rifle, unregistered AR-15 rifles, a stolen AR-15, black-powder rifles and antique shotguns.

Green, a convicted felon is prohibited from accessing firearms. He was subsequently arrested and booked into jail at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of fentanyl sales and multiple weapons violations.
The reason Green was previously convicted was unknown.
The investigation into the possession of the firearms was ongoing, and the Hemet Special Enforcement Team was seeking information regarding the possibility that some of the firearms were stolen from unreported thefts.
