Man Killed In Beaumont I-10 Crash ID'd By Coroner
The crash occurred Thursday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 10 at the Highland Springs Avenue offramp.

BEAUMONT, CA — A man died Thursday after he was ejected from a car that crashed on the Highland Springs Avenue freeway offramp in Beaumont.
Sandy Marks, 46, of Yucaipa succumbed to his injuries at Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley about an hour after the 3:55 p.m. crash, according to the coroner's bureau.
Marks was a passenger in a 2004 Infiniti FX35 heading eastbound on Interstate 10 in the #4 lane. For reasons unknown, the 19-year-old male driver veered off the freeway and overturned onto the Highland Springs Avenue offramp, according to a preliminary California Highway Patrol report.

The impact caused both men to be ejected from the car.
The driver was also sent to a local hospital with injuries but an update on his condition was unavailable.

Eastbound Interstate 10 at the Highland Springs Avenue offramp was closed for approximately one hour while the CHP investigated the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation and it's not yet known whether alcohol and/or drugs played a role.
