VICTORVILLE, CA — An Inland Empire family’s Christmas Eve festivities were interrupted when a mysterious armed man came to their door and shot their car, KNBC reported.
The Darling family of Victorville had just finished opening presents when the man appeared, captured by surveillance footage pointing a gun at the front door and sticking up his middle finger, according to KNBC, which said Jason Darling called 911 and set off a car alarm in response.
The gunman, who was masked and hooded, shot the car repeatedly before leaving the scene, the outlet reported, adding Darling believes the man was targeting someone but got the wrong house. A neighborhood watch group has been created in response to the incident, according to KNBC.
