SoCal Mega Millions Ticket Wins $2.2 Million: Here's Where It Was Sold

A SoCal Mega Millions ticket worth $2.2 million was sold at this gas station in the Inland Empire, even as the grand prize raised yet again.

CHINO, CA — Who wants to be a millionaire? A person who purchased their Mega Millions ticket at a Chino gas station can answer that question, as they are now over $2 million richer.

According to the California Lottery, a ticket worth $2,201,910 was sold at a Chino Chevron Gas Station on Ramona Avenue on Friday. The ticket holder matched five numbers with a 3x multiplier.

The base prize was $733,970, and the multiplayer catapulted the ticket's prize to over $2.2 million.

The winning numbers that day were: 9, 10, 12, 48, 60 and Mega Number of 16.

No big winners were announced in Tuesday's drawing, where the winning numbers were: 6, 29, 33, 47,68 and Mega Number of 20.

With no winning ticket sold Tuesday, Mega Millions has raised its big prize this week to $122 million, even as one lucky ticket holder can claim over $2 million in a prize won on Friday, the California Lottery announced. The next drawing is Friday at 8 p.m.

"The NEW Mega Millions game offers bigger jackpots, better odds, and a built-in multiplier! Learn more about the exciting new game. Each Mega Millions play is now $5. Purchase tickets at your local Lottery retailer. Drawings are at 8 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday," they said.

The odds of matching five numbers are one in 12,629,232, according to the lottery. The odds of matching all numbers, including the Mega Number are one in 290,472,336.
