SigAlert Issued After Motorhome Fire Erupts In Banning
Caltrans said the #4 lane on westbound Interstate 10 was closed from the weigh station to the Ramsey Street offramp.

BANNING, CA — A motorhome fire Friday in Banning spread to nearby brush and burned 86 acres, prompting a SigAlert on Interstate 10.
The blaze was reported at 1:52 p.m. in the 2000 block of E, Ramsey Street, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
"Firefighters responded to a recreational vehicle on fire with an extension to the vegetation," the agency said at about 2:30 p.m.

Just before 3:30 p.m., Caltrans said the #4 lane on westbound Interstate 10 was closed from the weigh station to the Ramsey Street offramp.
A SigAlert was issued. It was unknown how long the closure will remain in effect.

As of 4 p.m., the blaze was 10% contained, according to the fire department.
