Nike Store Hit By Bandit Who Stole $35K In Merch: City Of Redlands

REDLANDS, CA — A 35-year-old transient from Moreno Valley was behind bars Tuesday, accused of stealing more than $35,000 worth of merchandise from the Nike Factory Store in Redlands, the city announced.

Creushon Lee Bernstein was identified as the suspect in dozens of thefts from the store located in the Mountain Grove Shopping Center, 27641 San Bernardino Avenue, according to the city of Redlands.

The thefts, which occurred over a three-month period, led to Bernstein's Oct. 26 arrest.

"He is currently in custody at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in lieu of $200,000," the city confirmed Tuesday.

During the investigation, police identified a second suspect who was allegedly involved in four of the heists. He was in custody at West Valley Detention Center on unrelated charges, according to the city. His name was not released.
