One Person Killed, Another Injured In Ramona Expressway Crash
The Ramona Expressway was closed for several hours as a result of the deadly wreck.

SAN JACINTO, CA — One person died early Monday in a head-on crash in San Jacinto, authorities report. Another person was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The crash happened on the Ramona Expressway at Bridge Street, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The driver of a green Hyundai sedan heading west on the expressway crossed over the centerline and struck a white Chevrolet sedan, according to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Bryan De Loss.

The Chevrolet driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Hyundai driver was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, De Loss said.
The Ramona Expressway remained closed between Bridge Street and Warren Road until around 10 a.m., creating traffic problems for morning commuters heading west out of San Jacinto and Hemet.

It's the second deadly crash on that stretch of road in the last few days. On Saturday, 26-year-old David Joya was killed in a head-on crash with a semi-truck, also on the Ramona Expressway near Bridge Street.
