Officials will staff a driver's license checkpoint this weekend.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Officers with the San Gorgonio Pass Area California Highway Patrol office will staff a DUI/driver's license checkpoint this weekend, the agency announced.
The operation is slated to take place on Saturday night starting at 8 p.m. somewhere in the Hemet/ San Jacinto Valley, according to CHP Officer Matt Napier. It will last approximately eight hours.
"The sobriety checkpoint will be conducted by numerous CHP Officers who are highly trained in the detection of alcohol and / or drug impaired drivers," Napier said in a news release. "Officers will also be equipped with hand held breath testing devices which provide an accurate measure of blood-alcohol concentration of suspected drunk drivers. Offenders will be processed at the checkpoint and booked at either the Southwest Detention Facility or the Larry D Smith Detention Facility."
