Person Extricated From 'Major Damage' Crash In Whitewater

One person was taken to a hospital after both vehicles crashed into a center divider, officials said.

WHITEWATER, CA — One person was extricated, or pulled, from a vehicle crash that caused "major damage" in Whitewater on Friday morning, authorities said.

Fire officials responded at 8:03 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash along westbound Interstate 10 West at the Haughen Lehmann Way offramp, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.

Both vehicles hit the center divider, where one patient was extricated with moderate injuries and taken to a hospital, fire officials said.
