Police Seek Additional Sexual Assault Victims Linked To RivCo Man
The 27-year-old man is accused of committing lewd acts with teenage girls after picking them up in his car.
BEAUMONT, CA — Police are urging the public to help them identify additional sexual assault victims of a man arrested in Beaumont earlier this week.
Peter Michael Mejia, 27, of Redlands was arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a minor and possessing child pornography, officials said.
The Costa Mesa Police Department first received information about a man having sexual relationships with several underage girls at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13. After locating and speaking with two victims, they were able to verify the tip they received.

Police believe that Mejia may have other victims.
"Due to the arrestee’s access to young girls through social media, detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying potential additional victims Mejia might have had access to via any social platform," CMPD said.
Anyone with information or who believes they are a victim is urged to contact Detective Michael Luu at 714-754-5051 or Sergeant Jake Jacobi at 714-754-5352.
The case, which is still under investigation, has been submitted to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
