Man Robs Beaumont Ice Cream Shop with Shotgun, Still at Large
Recognize either of these two men? They robbed La Michoacana on East Sixth Street with a shotgun and then fled in a red pickup truck.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- Beaumont police are looking for two men who robbed an ice cream and frozen yogurt shop with a shotgun and then fled in a red pickup truck.
The Beaumont Police Department received a call regarding a possible robbery in progress just after 5 p.m. Sunday, police said. Officers arrived at La Michoacana at 777 East Sixth St., where employees said a man in his 30s entered the store with a shotgun and took money from the register.
Police would not disclose how much money was taken.

The man was described as Hispanic, with a goatee and mustache, wearing a plaid black and green hooded jacket, a black beanie, black pants and white shoes.

Employees also said that a second man, who was described as Hispanic, middle-aged and bald, was waiting outside in a red Nissan pickup truck, according to police. Both men fled from the scene in the truck that is believed to be a 1990s model.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.
The robbery is still under investigation. Police ask that anyone with information about the case call the on-duty watch commander at (951) 769-8500.
