'Prank' Active-Shooter Threat At IE Movie Theater Under Investigation: SBCSD
Sunday evening, deputies descended upon the Starlight Terra Vista 6 Movie Theater at 10701 Town Center Drive in Rancho Cucamonga.
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — After a comprehensive law enforcement search this weekend at a Rancho Cucamonga movie complex, a report of an active shooter at the location was determined to be unfounded.
At approximately 6:15 p.m. Sunday, deputies with the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to an active shooter report at the Starlight Terra Vista 6 Movie Theater at 10701 Town Center Drive.
Moviegoers and theater employees were moved to safety while deputies conducted a tactical search of the complex.

After doing so, the deputies determined "the claim of an active shooter was unfounded and appears to have been a prank initiated by a group of juveniles."
The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department publicly thanked everyone at the movie theater for their cooperation during the incident and said the agency is continuing to investigate the matter.
