Earthquakes Rattle Inland Empire: Did You Feel Them?

Two earthquakes struck before noon on Monday, with multiple small quakes since Friday keeping residents on edge.

CABAZON, CA— At least one over 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck with an epicenter near Cabazon, California, in Riverside County on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey. Seismologists are studying a second event that struck about 30 seconds later, according to CalTech, which is actively reviewing the data.

"There were two earthquakes in that area," Gabrielle Tepp told Patch. "The first one was completely reviewed, with a final magnitude of 3.0." Seismologists were reviewing data from the second temblor and expected it would be reduced in size, she said.
