Quake Rattles Riverside County, Inland Empire: Did You Feel It?
The earthquake was reported shortly before 9:45 a.m.
IDYLLWILD, CA — A magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck with an epicenter near Idyllwild, California, in Riverside County on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The temblor was reported around 9:43 a.m. and was initially reported as a 3.6 quake, according to the USGS. That magnitude was later downgraded, upon geologist review of the seismic data.
The quake followed a 2.7 magnitude temblor in Rialto and an early morning 2.8 quake on Grapevine, according to USGS.

The quake likely rattled residents from Riverside County's desert communities, including Murrieta and Temecula, according to initial reports, centered about 10 kilometers southwest of Idyllwild, the USGS said.
The Did You Feel It database recorded residents from as far south as Escondido and as far north as Ontario and San Bernardino felt the rumbling.
