Ramona Expressway Crash Kills 1 Driver, Seriously Injures Another
The two-vehicle crash left the drivers trapped in the wreckage.
SAN JACINTO, CA — A motorist was fatally injured Monday and another seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on the north end of San Jacinto.
The collision happened about 1 a.m. on the Ramona Expressway, just west of San Jacinto Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Sgt. Patrick Lynch said the vehicles impacted for reasons still under investigation, leaving both motorists trapped inside the wreckage.

County fire personnel extricated the motorists, who were the only occupants of the two vehicles, a short time later.
Both victims were taken to a regional trauma center, where one was pronounced dead. The other victim remained in serious condition Monday afternoon, Lynch said.

Neither party was identified.
