PASS AREA, CA — The polls are closed in Banning and Beaumont, and voters will soon know the 2022 Consolidated Primary Election results.

Big races being watched in Banning and Beaumont include Riverside County sheriff, district attorney, as well as state assembly, U.S. Senate and congressional contests.

If a candidate achieves 51 percent or more of the vote in the primary contest, the person is considered elected. In races where the vote is split between many contenders, the top two candidates with the most votes will appear on the Nov. 8 general election ballot for a runoff.
