Redlands Street To Turn Into Family-Friendly Halloween Haunt

On Oct. 31, families are invited to Olive Avenue, where historic homes turn into Halloween haunts for trick-or-treaters.

REDLANDS, CA — Halloween is just around the corner and Redlands is hosting the perfect free family outing for Oct. 31 — Olive Avenue Extravaganza.

From 4 to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy photos with spooky characters, bounce houses, live entertainment and food vendors on Olive Avenue.

Until 9 p.m., the street will be closed to cars for safe trick-or-treating.

Along the historic corridor, attendees can immerse themselves into a Halloween wonderland from Cajon to Center streets, where homeowners turn their historic homes into haunted homes while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters.'

Redlands city staff will also help supplement the supply of candy.

"So remember to bring your trick-or-treat bags," the city said.

Those who want to get an early start can come dressed up to the Municipal Airport at 1755 Sessums Dr., from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, for "Plane or Treat." Guests can check out the decorated planes, a bounce house, a dessert vendor and of course, candy.
