At-Risk Missing Man Sought Across Riverside County: Have You Seen John?

John Kopeczy, 51, left his Riverside County home and was last seen heading toward Hemet, officials say.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A Riverside County man, considered "at-risk" due to a mental condition, is missing, and authorities are seeking your help to locate him and ensure his safe return home.

On Monday, at 12:30 p.m., the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced that the missing man left his Moreno Valley home on foot, officials say.

John Kopeczy, 51, was last seen on the 26500 block of Cactus Avenue in the city of Moreno Valley, the department reported.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt and beige shorts.

"John suffers from Schizophrenia and is believed to be traveling on foot, possibly to the city of Hemet," they said.

He is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Residents were asked to keep an eye out for John and provide any information to the authorities to help bring him home safely.
