RivCo Deputies Search For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Injured Woman
A manhunt was still underway on Wednesday in search of an SUV driver who struck and criticall injured a woman as she crossed the street.

SAN JACINTO, CA — Deputies on Wednesday were still searching for a driver who struck and seriously injured a woman in San Jacinto before fleeing the scene earlier this week.
The incident was reported after 8 a.m. on Sunday on Meridian Street, south of Berginer Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman on the side of the road with several bystanders providing medical aid. She was taken to a local hospital where she remains in critical condition, officials said.

The woman was walking across the residential roadway when she was hit by a dark-colored SUV, which failed to stop. The driver fled the scene southbound on Meridian Street, police said.
The SUV was described as a compact, dark-colored box-style vehicle. No other information was immediately available.
