RivCo Gang Team Investigates Vehicle Shooting Near Homes In Beaumont

No one was injured from the shots fired from the vehicle, whose driver fled the scene.

BEAUMONT, CA — The Riverside County Gang Task Force is investigating an incident in which shots were fired from a vehicle near a home in Beaumont, authorities said.

Police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of E. 10th Street on Monday, Julie Van Hook, a public information officer with the Beaumont Police Department, told Patch.

Investigators say a vehicle approached a home when the shooting occurred. The driver fled the area, Hook said, adding that no injuries were reported by those inside the home.

Due to the "nature of the incident," gang detectives assumed the investigation, according to Hook.

No other information was immediately available.
