RivCo School Janitor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Children: Report
Police say that there may be as many as 21 victims abused by the 31-year-old.
RIVERSIDE, CA — A 31-year-old janitor who worked for the Riverside Unified School District remains in custody after he was accused of sex crimes against children, The Press-Enterprise reported.
Mario Moralez Guadalupe, of Riverside, was placed on administrative leave, the district confirmed with the newspaper. He was arrested on Jan. 15, according to the report.
The Riverside Sheriff's Department believes there could be as many as 21 victims. However, the district said sheriff's investigators say none of their students are among the suspected victims, the newspaper reported.

Guadalupe has been charged with 19 felonies, including lewd acts on a minor younger than 14 years old, court records show.

Public records show that Guadalupe worked as a substitute, custodian for the district in 2020. He is currently being held in lieu of $1.22 million bail at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.
