SAN JACINTO, CA — Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department San Jacinto station will conduct a DUI checkpoint later this week at an undisclosed location within the city.

The checkpoint will be held from 8 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday at a location with notable data patterns of impaired driving-related crashes, authorities said.

"Impaired drivers put others on the road at significant risk," Sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Lynch said. "Any prevention measures that reduce the number of impaired drivers on our roads significantly improve traffic safety."
