RIVERSIDE, CA—Riverside County's newest Goodwill store and warehouse clearance center outlet store is slated to open on Friday, April 4, at 1049 Spruce Street, Riverside 92507.

"The official ribbon cutting ceremonies will commence at 9:30 a.m. and include local dignitaries, Goodwill Southern California staff and community members," a spokesperson for the organization said.

The new store will be the non-profit’s first Outlet Store and fourth location in Riverside. Goodwill SoCal currently operates:

  • a Retail Store at 6086 Magnolia Ave., Riverside 92506
  • a Boutique & Donation Center at 191 E. Alessandro Blvd., Riverside 92508
  • an Employment Center at 1325 Spruce St. Ste. 110, Riverside 92501

According to a recent news release, Goodwill Outlet Stores sell items by the pound. "Stores are often referred to casually as “the bins." New merchandise arrives throughout the day, they said.

"Customers are invited to shop a wide selection of fabulous fashion at deeply discounted prices. All weekend long, shoppers will have an opportunity to enjoy a $10 merchandise voucher for the first 50 shoppers in line through April 6," they said.

Patrick McClenahan, Goodwill Southern California’s President & CEO, spoke on the upcoming grand opening.

“We are excited to open our Warehouse Clearance Center in Riverside,” McClenahan said. “Goodwill SoCal stores help fund our non-profit’s mission to Transform Lives Through the Power of Work, helping people in our community who experience barriers to employment find jobs.”

Goodwill SoCal has more than 100 locations in its territory - including retail stores, outlet stores, boutiques, and attended donation centers covering Los Angeles (north of Rosecrans), Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Ninety-five cents of every dollar generated from sales is dedicated to funding GSC’s mission to prepare and place individuals with disabilities and other vocational challenges in sustainable employment.

The store hours will be seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
