RivCo Hang Glider Rescued By Sheriff's Helicopter Crew

An injured hang glider who went down in Gilman Springs was hoisted to safety on Sunday.

SAN JACINTO, CA — An injured hang glider who went down in Gilman Springs was hoisted to safety by a rescue helicopter Sunday.

The hang glider crash landed at around 11:40 a.m. in the hills above Soboba Road about 400 feet above a designated landing area, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The hang glider was hoisted off the hill by a Riverside County Sheriff's Department helicopter and later taken to a hospital in a ground ambulance, fire officials said.
