Overturned Big Rig Prompts SigAlert On 60 Freeway In Moreno Valley

A two-trailer semi truck carrying alfalfa was blocking westbound lanes on the freeway, according to CHP.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A big rig tipped over on Friday morning on the 60 Freeway, triggering a SigAlert in Moreno Valley which backed up traffic for hours, authorities said.

The SigAlert was issued just after a semi truck's second trailer tipped over around 10:20 a.m., blocking two of the four westbound lanes of the freeway at Heacock Street, California Highway Patrol officer Jonathon Torres told Patch.

According to CalTrans, lanes could be closed until the early afternoon while crews work on the overturned big rig, which was carrying alfalfa.

No injuries were reported in the crash, Torres said.
