'At-Risk' Woman Goes Missing From Beaumont, Silver Alert Issued

BEAUMONT, CA — A Silver Alert was issued for 69-year-old woman with medical and mental health concerns who was last seen Tuesday morning in Beaumont.

Pamela Ann Whalen was last seen at her home in the 300 block of Mesa Verde Park between 9 a.m. and noon, according to the Beaumont Police Department.

Detectives described Whalen as a 5-foot-6-inch white woman weighing 140 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes.

"From security footage it appears she was wearing a light colored or light blue top and a dark colored sweatshirt tied around her waist," police said, though they could not confirm it's what she was wearing when she slipped away.

Whalen would most likely be traveling on foot, as she does not drive, according to police.

Police said Whalen has been diagnosed with cognitive impairment which affects her speech and memory, along with partial paralysis to the right side of her body.

She might be unable to recall her name or know her address.
