Small Debris Fire Quickly Stopped At Moreno Valley Mall

A debris fire adjacent to a parking structure at the Moreno Valley Mall was quickly extinguished Sunday.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A debris fire adjacent to a parking structure at the Moreno Valley Mall was quickly extinguished Sunday by passers-by, without any reports of damage.

The minor non-injury blaze was reported at about 10:50 a.m. on the west side of the main parking garage on Town Circle Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said several engine crews were sent to the location and discovered that cardboard boxes had caught fire but that mall staff or patrons had knocked down the flames, which were confined to a small space outside the parking structure.
