Teen Driver Fatally Injured in Collision At RivCo Intersection

A teenager died after a collision between two motorists in Moreno Valley.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — An investigation was underway Monday into a collision at a Moreno Valley intersection that left a 17-year-old motorist dead.

Logan Edwards of Winchester was fatally injured about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday at Bay Avenue and Day Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The agency said that the driver of a 2014 Toyota Corolla was heading eastbound on Bay, possibly in excess of the speed limit, and failed to stop for a stop sign. The Toyota entered the intersection, where it struck Edwards' 2012 Ford Edge.
