Valley Fire: San Bernardino Blaze Rages On
The wildfire erupted Friday at Valley of the Falls Drive and Service Road 1S08.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA -- A raging wildfire in San Bernardino County remained at 1,139 acres Sunday evening, and was 5 percent contained. The blaze sparked around 1:29 p.m. last Friday in the area of Valley of the Falls Drive Service Road 1S08, according to fire officials.
It was one of several wildfires to erupt in California in recent days as the state grappled with soaring temperatures and low humidity. So far, one person died in the Klamathon Fire along the California and Oregon border.
Mandatory evacuations were ordered for the community of Forest Falls as a result of the Valley Fire. An evacuation center was established at the Inland Leaders Charter School at 12375 California St. in Yucaipa.
