Vegetation Fire Burning In Cabazon: Authorities

The forward rate of spread of the 4-acre fire was stopped shortly before 4 p.m., according to officials.

CABAZON, CA — Emergency personnel responded Sunday afternoon to a 4-acre vegetation fire in Cabazon, according to authorities.

The blaze, dubbed the Pecan Fire, was reported shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of Pipeline Road and Apache Trail, CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department posted on social media.

The forward rate of spread was stopped not long before 4 p.m., according to authorities.
