Vehicle Slams Into Pole, Killing Driver In Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A person was killed in a single-vehicle crash west of Moreno Valley Sunday.

The crash occurred at around 7:40 a.m. at the Van Buren Overpass to Interstate 215 in the unincorporated area of Riverside County near the March Air Reserve Base, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a gray sedan slammed into a traffic signal pole.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the car, died at the scene, fire officials said.

No other information was immediately available.
