SAN JACINTO, CA — A man with warrants out for his arrest was located Sunday. He was found with eight firearms, one suppressor, ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and 5 pounds of explosives — and that was just the start, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Christian Ray Snowden, 29, was pulled over by deputies around 11 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and State Street in San Jacinto. He had several warrants out for his arrest in Riverside County tied to vehicle code violations that he never took care of, according to court records.

The outstanding warrants triggered a search of Snowden's vehicle, which turned up the alleged weapons cache and methamphetamine.

A subsequent search warrant was served at Snowden’s home in the 1400 block of Calle San Sebastian in San Jacinto. That turned up more ammunition and 20 pounds of explosives, the sheriff's department reported.

Court records show Snowden has now been charged with one count each of possessing a controlled substance while armed, possession of explosives without a permit, possession of a silencer, possession of handgun ammunition, and carrying a loaded firearm without a permit. He was also charged with two counts of possession of an assault weapon. All the charges are felonies.
