Windblown Dust Advisory In Place In These RivCo Cities
Gusty winds of up to 50 mph lifted dust and soil, fouling the air.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A windblown dust advisory was in place across eastern Riverside County, from Banning to Indio, the South Coast Air Quality Management District said.
The advisory was expected to be in effect until 5 a.m. Wednesday in Banning, Cathedral City, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and Indio due to gusty winds of up to 50 mph, which were lifting dust and soil.

The South Coast AQMD stated that blowing dust may result in high particle pollution, reaching very unhealthy levels of air quality index categories.
