Coroner IDs Woman Killed In Rollover Crash Near Banning, Idyllwild
Emergency officials responded to a remote road between Beaumont and Idyllwild Monday, on reports of a rollover collision on Highway 243.

BANNING, CA — A 71-year-old Yucca Valley woman died Monday after crashing over the mountainside on Mount Edna Road, west of Highway 243, according to California Highway Patrol.
Cheryl Brault was identified as having died at the location on Mount Edna Road, west of Highway 243 in Banning, according ot the Riverside County Sheriff's Coroner's Bureau.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., Cal Fire Riverside County Fire Department firefighters, along with California Highway Patrol and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, all responded to the scene of the rollover near Highway 243 and Mt. Edna Drive, where the Jeep Grand Cherokee went over the side.

Cal Fire firefighters extracted Brault's body from the vehicle.
A witness to the crash told Patch that a woman was "coming down a private road when the vehicle she was driving rolled over."

The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation, according to CHP Officer Jonathan Torres.
