Woman Shot By Redlands Police During Domestic Disturbance Incident
A 30-year-old Redlands woman allegedly armed with a knife confronted officers and refused to comply with their commands before she was shot.
REDLANDS, CA — A woman was shot by police Thursday night during a domestic disturbance incident in Redlands.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., Redlands police were summoned to the 1000 block of Oxford Drive where one person at a home was reportedly armed with a knife.
The armed suspect, a 30-year-old Redlands woman, allegedly confronted officers and refused to comply with their commands before she was shot, according to a police department statement.

The woman was transported to an area hospital and is expected to recover from her injuries, according to the department.
No other injuries were reported.

Two officers involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave. Per protocol, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
Neither the involved officers nor the victim's identities were released.
