Two Women Hit by Car While Walking on El Camino Real

One of the two women is a Belmont resident; her name has not been released.

Two pedestrians were seriously injured when they were struck by a car while crossing a Burlingame street this evening, police said.

The two women were crossing Hillside Drive at El Camino Real at 5:50 p.m. when a 2003 Toyota Highlander attempting to make a left turn from El Camino Real onto Hillside hit both of them.

The women were taken to Stanford Hospital with serious injuries.

One is 62 years old from Belmont and the other is 63 years old from
Burlingame, according to police.

The driver, an 18-year-old man from Burlingame, is cooperating with the police investigation.

Police are investigating the cause of the collision. Anyone with
information has been asked to call Burlingame police at (650) 777-4100.
