California Highway Patrol officials released details about the man killed on the San Gabriel (605) Freeway Sunday night when he was thrown from his motorcycle into oncoming traffic.

A 66-year-old Glendale man was killed when he rear-ended a car on the southbound 605 Freeway in Long Beach, fell off his motorcycle and was struck by another vehicle, authorities said today. The man was driving his 1991 Harley Davidson on the San Gabriel River Freeway at around 80 miles per hour when he struck a 1991 Honda Accord driven by Marlon  Gloria, 58, of Panorama City south of Spring Street at 10:12 p.m. Sunday, said CHP Officer S. Farber.

He was thrown onto the pavement ``directly into the path of a 2003 Toyota Corolla'' driven by Calvin Ngo, 25, Santa Ana, he said.
