Motorist Killed in Long Beach Identified
Authorities Friday identified a motorist who was killed in a two-vehicle crash.

LONG BEACH, CA -- Authorities Friday identified a motorist who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Long Beach. Mario Reyes, 24, of Wilmington died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 7 a.m. Thursday at Pacific Coast Highway and Judson Avenue, the coroner's office reported.
According to Long Beach police, Reyes was driving a 1990 Honda Civic DX east on PCH "at a high rate of speed" right before the crash.
"The Honda Civic, for an unknown reason, locked up its brakes and skidded into and collided with a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup," police said. "The truck was driven by a 46-year-old male resident of Long Beach, who was waiting to turn left onto southbound Judson Avenue from westbound Pacific Coast Highway."
