Woman Assaulted at Long Beach City College
Long Beach police say the woman was attacked in a restroom Thursday night.
Detectives searched today for a man who followed a student into a restroom at Long Beach City College and assaulted her, police said. The assault occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday, said Long Beach police Sgt. Rico Fernandez.
``The woman fought him off and she is being treated at a hospital for injuries sustained during the assault,'' he said, adding that her injuries are not severe. The restroom where the assault took place is on the Liberal Arts campus at Carson Street and Clark Avenue, a camera crew reported from the scene.
No suspect description was immediately released.
