Silly String, Nair And Shaving Cream Banned For Beverly Hills Youths On Halloween
The favorite tools of youthful Halloween vandals have been banned for those under 21 in Beverly Hills.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA — On Halloween, Silly String, Nair and shaving cream are now a no-go in Beverly Hills.
The City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to ban the possession of Silly String, hair removal products like Nair and shaving cream by people under 21 for the 24 hours beginning Oct. 31 at 6 a.m.
The otherwise fun and useful products take on a new life around Halloween as some of the favorite tools of youthful vandals, city officials say. The city said in a release that the ordinance was passed in an effort to create a "safe family friendly environment" in Beverly Hills.
