BEVERLY HILLS, CA — City officials are congratulating residents and businesses for meeting Beverly Hills' water conservation goals over the last year.

On average, Beverly Hills' water usage was 30 percent lower between April 2022 and March 2023 compared to the same months in 2013. That met the goals set by the City Council last year, when the council called for a water shortage emergency, according to the Department of Public Works.

Residents were able to meet the goal by limiting irrigation to two days a week, avoiding watering during daytime hours and avoiding watering during the rainy season, according to Public Works Director Shana Epstein.
