Beverly Hills Is The Most Expensive Zip Code In LA: Report
Los Angeles has some of the most expensive real estate in nation, but Beverly Hills tops the county's list.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Los Angeles County sits at the top of the list when it comes to the nation's most expensive real estate — and Beverly Hills was the county's priciest zip code in 2021, according to a new nationwide report.
Nationwide, Beverly Hills ranked as the 6th most expensive zip code, with Atherton in San Mateo County, taking the no. 1 spot, according to PropertyShark's Most Expensive U.S. Zip Codes in 2021 report.
The famed 90210 is a veteran of PropertyShark's annual rankings, with median housing prices in the zip soaring up to $4,125,000.

Just under Beverly Hills on the national ranking was Santa Barbara, recording a $4,103,000 median home price.
In 2020, the 90210 reported a $3,750,000 median sale price and tied at no. 3 nationally with Santa Monica.

This year, Los Angeles County remained the priciest county, with 21 of its zip codes making the list. The county was ranked No. 2, tied with New York, with the highest number of expensive ZIP codes, with six ZIP codes ranked nationally.
Real estate prices in the Golden State's zip codes surpassed the $4 million mark for the first time in history, according to the report.
Across the U.S., California accounts for 70 percent of the priciest markets and 37 percent of them are concentrated in the Bay Area — where the list's topper is located.
Atherton was the nation's most expensive zip code for a fifth consecutive year, recording a $7.5 million median home price.
Los Angeles was outdone by the Bay Area's Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, which both contributed 10 zip codes to the list.
The two counties "form a nearly contiguous supercluster of ultra-expensive zip codes that cover high-profile tech centers such as Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose and Sunnyvale," according to PropertyShark.
